| |
| A challenge facing researchers today is that of piecing together and analyzing the plethora of data currently being generated through the Human Genome Project and scores of smaller projects. NCBI's Web site serves an an integrated, one-stop, genomic information infrastructure for biomedical researchers from around the world so that they may use these data in their research efforts. |

| IMGT is a high-quality integrated knowledge resource specializing in immunoglobulins (IG), T cell receptors (TR), major histocompatibility complex (MHC) and related proteins of the immune system of human and other vertebrate species, created in 1989 by Marie-Paule Lefranc. IMGT, a European project since 1992, works in close collaboration with EBI. IMGT consists of sequence databases (IMGT/LIGM-DB, a comprehensive database of IG and TR from human and other vertebrates, with translation for fully annotated sequences, IMGT/MHC-DB, IMGT/PRIMER-DB), genome and structure databases (IMGT/3Dstructure-DB), Web resources (IMGT Marie-Paule page) and interactive tools |

| This database is a catalog of human genes and genetic disorders authored and edited by Dr. Victor A. McKusick and his colleagues at Johns Hopkins and elsewhere, and developed for the World Wide Web by NCBI, the National Center for Biotechnology Information. The database contains textual information, pictures, and reference information. It also contains copious links to NCBI's Entrez database of MEDLINE articles and sequence information.

Alzheimer Disease Mutation Database

| |
| The Alzheimer Disease Mutation Database (ADMDB) is a collection of known mutaions and non-pathogenic coding variations in the genes related to Alzheimer disease (AD). Mutations can be searched by gene, phenotype, and publication. There is also a section for links which is broken down by level for all educational backgrounds. |
